Chapter 1 – Searching for an Quarantine and Quarantine report

Step 1: Quarantine module

Open the QUARANTINE MODULE from the main menu.

Step 2: Find and open

In the main quarantine screen search for the quarantine that you have created using one of its parameters.

Once found select the quarantine you have created, by clicking on it.

Step 3: Browse

You can browse the quarantine information sections for more details and you can print the Quarantine report.

Step 4: Quarantine reports

The Disease quarantine provides details on the area affected, disease and animals and holdings included in the quarantine.

The Export quarantine report provides details on the quarantine, the export certificates created and the certified animals.



Chapter 2- Establishing disease quarantine from the main many

Step 1: Quarantine module

Open the quarantine module from the main many.

Step 2: New quarantine

Select the ADD button to add a new quarantine.

Step 3: Provide quarantine details

Select BLACKLIST as the type of quarantine and add the starting and ending date. Add additional notes as required and SAVE the record.

Step 4: Find and open

In the main quarantine screen search for the quarantine that you have created using one of its parameters.

From now on the Quarantine ID# can also be used to search for the quarantine in the main quarantine search window.

Once found select the quarantine you have created, by clicking on it.

Step 5: Add disease

Using the FIND EXISTING button open the disease search menu.

Step 6: Select disease

Using the search menu, find and select the disease on account of which you have established the quarantine.

The prohibition rules related to the disease also will be displayed.

You can click on the disease row to open the box for additional details you want to assign or edit, or if you would like to delete the disease.

Step 8: Holding selection

Open the HOLDING section and use the FIND EXISTING button to open the holding search menu.

Step 9: Find the holding

The standard holding search box will allow you to search the holdings and to find the target holding.

Once you have found the holding create a link by clicking on it.

You can add multiple holdings as needed.

Step 10: Pending movements

Keep in mind that if there are any pending movements in the system from and to the quarantined holding, the movements will need to be completed/canceled before the quarantine is established.

Once the link is created the quarantine will be active and all the quarantine rules will be applied to the target holding.



Chapter 3 – Establishing disease quarantine from the holding

Step 1: Navigate to the holding

Navigate to the target holding and click on the QUARANTINE button.

Step 2:

Click on the ADD button to open the quarantine input section.

Note: Please note that before the quarantine is established the holding indicators are green, in terms of movement and quarantine.

Step 3: Provide quarantine details

Select BLACKLIST as the type of quarantine and add the starting and ending date.

Add additional notes as required and SAVE the record.

Note: For establishing an Export quarantine consult the Export manual.

Step 4: Add disease

Using the FIND EXISTING button open the disease search menu.

Using the search menu, find and select the disease on account of which you have established the quarantine.

The prohibition rules related to the disease also will be displayed.

Once the link is created the quarantine will be active and all the quarantine rules will be applied to the target holding.

For creating of a quarantine using a MAP, please consult the GIS manual.

Once the quarantine is established the health status of the holding will change and the movement limitations will be applied.
