# PROCESSED – the sample results have been returned.

Samples will not be assigned 'Test type' by default, which can be changed before Assigning to a given laboratory.

To add the Test type, click on the sample record in the grid to access it, then click on the EDIT LABORATORY SAMPLE button and enter the change.
Press SAVE before exiting.

Select the samples you would like to assign to a laboratory and press the ASSIGN SAMPLE TO LABORATORY button.

In the new screen you can search for the laboratory using the Laboratory ID, its Address or the Laboratory Name.

You can also filter the search result laboratory list as needed, in order to find the desired laboratory.

Once you have located the laboratory click on it.

The assigned sample will change its status to QUEUED and the selected laboratory will be displayed.
