CHAPTER 1 – Show a holding on the map

Step 1

Holding access

Please consult the NAITS manual on holdings on how to navigate to the holding you would like to see on the map.

Step 2

Displaying the holding map

You can do that by clicking on the Map button.

CHAPTER 2 – Show incoming movements to the selected holding and accessing the grid for the displayed movements

Step 1

Holding map

Only finalized incoming movements are shown on the map.

Both regular movements and direct movements (between holdings and to a slaughterhouse are visible). Note: Please keep in mind that only finalized transfers with full data strings recorded after June 2020 will be displayed. Data imported from the NFA database does not contain all relevant historic information to display the movements.

Step 2

Accessing the incoming animal movements grid from map You can do that by selecting the holding and clicking on the two arrows that point left in the top right corner of the screen. The map shows both the incoming and outgoing movements. The grid in the GIS module shows only the incoming movements.

Step 3

Historic filters

By setting the desired departure and arrival date and clicking the filter movements button the user gets to see the movements in that time period. Filtering the movements will not affect the records shown in the grid. The filter movement works in the following three ways:

1) Setting the departure date to some point in the past and setting the exact arrival date;

2) Setting the exact departure date and setting the arrival date to some point in the future;

3)  Setting the departure date to some point in the past and the arrival date to some point in the future; Movements will be shown on the map also if one of the date filters is filled or both are empty.

CHAPTER 3 – Show animal on the map

Step 1

Access the animal Please consult the NAITS manual on Animal search on how to navigate to the desired animal.

Step 2

Displaying the animal map

Click on the Map button.

Step 3

Animal displayed

The map shows historical movement of the animal between two holdings. If the animal doesn’t have any movements the map will show the village where the animal is currently located.

Step 4

Animal historic movements By setting the desired departure and arrival date and clicking the filter movements button the user gets to see the movements in that time period. It works on the same principle as the holding filter movements as described in chapter 2, step 3.

CHAPTER 4 – Create quarantine using the map

Step 1

Holding map

Quarantine can be established on the map by clicking the DECLARE QUARANTINE BUTTON located in the bottom left corner of the screen.

For the quarantine to be saved enter the start and end date of the quarantine.

If the user draws quarantine larger than the borders of a municipality. The selection border is automatically adjusted to include the whole (shape) of the municipality borders.

Step 2

Quarantined holdings Click on the quarantine and on the SHOW QUARANTINED HOLDINGS FOR THIS AREA and the details will be shown for all registered holdings in the Quarantine.

Step 3

Quarantine map editing

The quarantine shape can be edited by clicking on it and dragging any of the white dots that are encircling the quarantine in any direction. The user can only edit the end date and the reason. The start date cannot be edited because there is a validation prohibiting it.
