CHAPTER 1 – Admitting of animals and flocks/herds to slaughterhouse (direct movement)

Step 1: Initiating direct movement

Direct movement can be initiated at the ANIMALS screen of a holding, through the option for adding new animals.

Select the ADD function to add an animal.

Step 2: Enter the ID of the animal

In the section for adding an animal originating in Georgia, add the number of the animal you would like to move.

Step 3: Confirmation

The system will display a confirmation message, providing details about the animal and the holding from which the animal is removed, in order to ensure possibility to check if the right animal has been selected.

If you are sure about the movement, press the MOVE button.

Step 4: Printing movement document

The system will offer to print the movement document for this specific movement.

Chose PRINT if you would like to receive a PDF of the movement document, or CLOSE if you would like to proceed without a movement document.

Step 5: Movement document If you have selected to print a movement document, you will receive a printout with all of the relevant details about the movement.

Tip 1: A valid movement document will have a status of RELEASED.

Tip 2: Please note that the movement document in parallel is a health certificate, since if printed it indicates that there have been no movement blocks due to health concerns.

Step 6: Movement confirmation

The animal will appear on the screen in the ANIMALS section of the holding.

Step 7: Confirmation of the movement in the animal records

Click on the Animal and enter the Individual animals records. Click the MOVEMENT HISTORY where the movement will be visible with an appropriate indication of a DIRECT TRANSFER movement.

Step 8: Confirmation of the movement in the Destination holding records

In the Holding of Destination click the Incoming animals records and in the right screen section where completed movements are listed, a record of the DIRECT TRANSFER movement will be listed.

You can also see a record in the INCOMING MOVEMENT DOCUMENTS folder where the Movement Document you have printed will be shown and available for printing.

Step 10: Confirmation of the movement in the holding of Origin records

In the Holding of Origin click the Outgoing animals records and in the right screen section where completed movements are listed, a record of the DIRECT TRANSFER movement will be listed.

You can also see the movement from the OUTGOING MOVEMENT DOCUMENTS section as shown in the previous step.



CHAPTER 2 – Standard movement of animals


Chapter 2.1. Movement sections

Step 1: Movement overview

The system records Movements of individual animals and flocks, as individual events.

Animals/Flocks moving to each holding are listed in the INCOMING ANIMALS and INCOMING FLOCKS registers.

Animals/Flocks moving from each holding are listed in the OUTGOING ANIMALS and OUTGOING FLOCKS registers.

The number of pending movements is also shown in the holding overview page.

Step 2: Movement documents

Each movement event, besides being registered in the Animal and Holding movement history, is also registered in the form of MOVEMENT DOCUMENT, which can contain multiple animals or flocks. The MOVEMENT DOCUMENT register of the holding is split into INCOMING and OUTGOING MOVEMENT DOCUMENTS.



Chapter 2.2. Movement of animals

Step 1: Initiating movement

Movement of animals is initiated in the ANIMALS section of the holding.

Select the animals you would like to move and select ACTIONS ⇒ MOVE⇒ START MOVEMENT.

Step 2: Provide movement information

Add the following information to initiate the movement.

  1. Date of Estimated Departure;
  2. Date of Estimated Arrival;
  3. Date of disinfection of the transport vehicle (optional);
  4. Mode of transport;
  5. License plate (if Vehicle has been selected as mode);
  6. Reason for movement.

Step 3:

Once the information has been provided please select using the search options the Destination holding number to which you would like to move the animal.

Once the holding has been found, click on the row showing the holding information to execute.

Step 4: Printing movement document

The system will offer to print the movement document for this specific movement.

Chose PRINT if you would like to receive a PDF of the movement document, or CLOSE if you would like to proceed without a movement document.

Step 5: Movement document

If you have selected to print a movement document, you will receive a printout with all of the relevant details about the movement.

Tip: A valid movement document will have a status of DRAFT.

This is different compared to Direct Movement since the Movement will be completed and switched to RELEASED status once the arrival confirmation has been provided.

Tip: Please note that the movement document in parallel is a health certificate, since if printed it indicates that there have been no movement blocks due to health concerns.

Step 6: Movement confirmation

In the Animals screen the moved animals will be shown in the Right section of the screen with TRANSITION status, indicating that the movement is in progress, until the arrival has been confirmed.

Note: The status TRANSITION of the animal matches the DRAFT status of the Movement Document.

Step 7: Movement document record

In the OUTGOING MOVEMENT DOCUMENTS section, the generated movement document will be shown in the LEFT section with DRAFT status, indicating that the movement is in progress.

In parallel, the same movement document will be displayed in the DESTINATION holding in the INCOMING MOVEMENT DOCUMENTS section.

Step 8: Movement document cancelation

In case you would like to cancel the movement document, please select the record, and ACTIONS ⇒ CANCEL.

The animals will revert to the ORIGIN holding and the movement document will move to the right screen section with status CANCELED.

To open the movement document, click anywhere on the Movement Document record.

Step 9: Movement document details

In case you would like to check the validity of the movement (epidemiological algorithms shown in the AREA RISK MANAGEMENT MANUAL) press the button CHECK MOVEMENT DOCUMENT.

Tip: The system will cross-reference the status of the Destination Holding/Area with the valid immunizations registered in the system for the selected animal.

Step 10: Movement confirmation

If there are no movement blocks a confirmation will be received.

If there are reasons for the movement to be blocked, they will be displayed in the MOVEMENT DOCUMENT BLOCKS. For more details please see Chapter 3.

Step 11: Movement record

The movement records for the animals will be displayed in the OUTGOING ANIMALS section, in the LEFT part of the screen, indicating that the movement is in progress.

The Movement document will be shown in the OUTGOING MOVEMENT DOCUMENTS section.

In parallel, the same animals will be displayed in the DESTINATION holding in the INCOMING ANIMALS section.

Step 12: Animal movement cancelation

In case you would like to cancel the movement of one or more of the animals, please select the animal movement record, and ACTIONS ⇒ CANCEL. This will cancel the movement of only the selected animals.

You can also cancel the movement from ACTIONS ⇒ CANCEL from the OUTGOING MOVEMENT DOCUMENTS section. This will cancel the movement of all animals listed in the movement document.

Step 13: Movement document correction

If the movement of some of the animals listed in the Movement document has been canceled, they will revert to the ORIGIN holding and the movement document will be corrected. If the movement of all animals has been canceled, the Movement Document will also be canceled.



Chapter 2.3 Moving flocks
